Blade type eliminators are designed in various densities and configurations to meet specific tower applications. Special features for Counter Flow forced draft towers and Counter Flow/ Cross Flow induced draft applications to meet high efficiency and low pressure drop requirements.

 

BLADE TYPE MIST ELIMINATORS – Blade eliminators utilize a series of sinusoidal-shaped blades assembled into modules using an end cap design. This type design allows for very low-pressure drop losses while still maintaining excellent mist droplet removal capabilities for both cross flow and counter flow applications. Material and labor costs are lowered by installing pre-assembled modules on existing supports, or on a minimal amount of supports, which reduces the net blockage of air due to additional support beams. Though not as strong as our cellular designed eliminators, these lightweight eliminators will dot he job at minimum horsepower and costs. Because they are simple to assemble, the are often used in international projects. When broken down, they can be easily assembled at far away jobsite locations saving significant freight costs over shipping assembled modules.

800BL AND 1200BL – Designed in two different densities, utilizing a three pass design, these mist eliminators meet the needs of all tower design. The 1200BL is designed with a blade spacing of 1.20″ (30mm) to provide maximum performance at minimum pressure drop and cost. This is our most affordable mist eliminator. The 800BL is designed to meet those specifications where very low mist levels are required. However, this increase in efficiency was not accomplished at the expense of fan energy. In fact, the 800BL has a lower pressure drop than the 1200BL. Both eliminators are designed so the nest or interlock with the modules next to them, eliminating interfaces between modules where mist bypass can occur.

970BL – Designed for forced draft cooling towers, the 970BL employs the use of three changes in the exiting air-stream to effectively capture entrained water droplets. An additional restriction of the discharge edge of each blade increases the velocity of the leaving airstream and directs it at a 45° degree angle away from the fans. This feature assists in preventing the recirculation of warm, moist air back through the intake fans.

All fill products are available in PVC and HPVC, and are UV stabilized. The PVC compounds used in fills have outstanding resistance to weather exposure, and are nearly impervious to chemical degradation by alkalies and acids, grease, fats, oils and biological attack. PVC has an excellent fire rating due to its self-extinguishing characteristics
